I met Jenny and Eric on top of a mountain last winter back country skiing. They happened to overhear a conversation my friend and i were having about a recent shoot I had done. Jenny asked if I was a wedding photographer which I enthusiastically said yes to. Jenny then asked for my instagram and of course, my kayaking page popped up first. Luckily it did though because we discovered the three of us had a shared love for whitewater. They explained how they wanted to “raft down the aisle” and have a beautiful, mellow day with candid photos that captured the moment. I happily agreed to be a part of that!

On June 11th, 2022 I drove up to Donnelly worrying about the rain. Dark storm clouds had rolled in and it was looking like a down pour was on the horizon. The rain held back until after the ceremony which gave the perfect setting. The ceremony was full of song, laughs, joy, and tears…

The rain finally came hard and fast during dinner! Luckily, most of us were hiding under the dinner tent. Except one of us……

Right when we thought we were going to be stuck under the tent for the rest of the night the rain stopped and a beautiful double rainbow came out…. We were able to get some amazing portriats!

Dinner was served, but before I took a break I had to get a few more shots.

After we were done with portriats, the contra band started up. If you’re wondering if you should hire a contra band or a DJ the answer is contra band! You will have the most fun dance floor!

We all finished up the day with a sparkler exit!!!
